Lovely, lovely work - I especially love all the detail you put into her dress and the way she's merging into the twigs and leaves. It definitely makes it seem like she's been sitting there for a long time.

Gorgeous detail - I like how everything seems to flow together, her head into twigs and the leaves into her dress and chair. Beautiful work!

The memory of this dress (I remembering seeing it a very long time ago and loving it) single-handedly inspired the entire design of a character of mine. The colors and buttons transferred over directly.

There definently is an atmosphere of stillness and quiet serenity in this piece. Like she has been sitting in that position for a long time without getting bored because her thoughts are the entertainment!
For some reason, it reminded me of a sloth because they move so slowly that algae grows in their fur...0_0 But instead of algae, it's the plants growing on her. (Are they growing on her?)

Do algae grow on sloths fur? I didn't know that, it's funny. ;)
I was rather thinking that she'd been sitting there all winter and little shoots were coming out of her now that spring came back...!

Amazingly enough, yes....just one of those random nibblets of useless information I know for some reason...like the fact that turtles breathe through their butts and blood bounces on ice.
That is another way to think of it! Then again, I've always had a different view of the world! :meow:

what kind of markers is it that you use? are you still using pantone? i was about to buy some copic but they are so expensive. i'm trying to find pictures i like using markers to decide which to get. I'd really appreciate the advice

:) I use several brands, mostly old Pantones (but these are not for sale anymore, and the new Tria line isn't worth its price), Copics and Promarkers. If you're a beginner, Promarkers is probably the best option for you, as they're cheaper and a nice quality. Copics are great too, but maybe a little bit harder to use in my opinion.

what size do you usually work with? A4, A3 or something? i'm just curious ^^

:) This one is slightly larger than A4. The size I usually work with varies a lot depending on what I want to do... it can range from 6x6 inches to A2.
Thank you!

Feels like winter, looks like spring. Very lovely. I love the depth of expression, and how awkward she looks, yet still manages to be pretty.
