Time-lapse video!

Journal Entry: Wed Jul 10, 2013, 2:29 PM

Hello everyone!

I have just uploaded an updated version of the time-lapse video for Rapunzel. If you have seen this video already, it's basically the same but the image is upside up, instead of upside down as originally recorded, so you get a better look at the picture being colored! :)
Enjoy!

Thanks! It's one of my personal favourites as well. I am very rusty at the moment after almost a year with very little time to draw - I am working hard to get back to that level, and do other drawings as good as this one! :)

I know how you feel, it's a constant struggle to try to outdo the best work you've done. I'm there too.
Anyway you should still feel very proud of it, I love the work! Actually I was wondering if you will have it in your shop soon?

Yes, I will! I really need to get my shop back in order. Unfortunately my printer didn't agree much with the move to the UK, and needs complete recalibration - but I have next Monday off so I hope I can get it back and running then! :)
Rapunzel will be in the next prints release, along with a few others.

thanks for doing this. i really appreciate seeing how you used the different media in one picture. as an untrained, aspiring artist, watching a video like this is one way i can learn about how that is done.

I really like watching video's like these, because it shows all the mediums used to make the picture and shows all the time and patients used to make a work of art. Beautiful work as always.

I do love time-lapse videos as well, I'll try to do more in the future. It's somewhat time-consuming to do, but much fun!

I would bet. You didn't do this picture in one sitting did you? If not then how many days did it take you?

No, not in one sitting - the colouring took about 8-9 hours in total and I did it in three or four sittings, I think. :)

Okay that sounds about right. I just always wonder how much time goes into someones work. To me, you appreciate someones work more when you realize how long it took them to finish it. In the end, your work is always beautiful and inspirational to look at. Keep up the awesome work!
